Process

Three steps from intake to refund.

Tariff Adjustment Bureau handles every stage of the IEEPA duty recovery process. From data ingestion through filing to final refund delivery, your involvement is minimal.

01

Data Ingestion

We pull your entry data directly from US Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) using your authorised access token. No manual upload. No spreadsheet work.

Our system identifies every entry filed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariff codes, calculates total duties paid, and maps each entry to its current liquidation status. This forms the foundation of your personalised refund forecast.

02

Document Preparation and Filing

Each entry is classified by liquidation status, your refund exposure is calculated, and the filing documents required to lock in your claim are generated. Attorneys review and sign every filing before submission.

Depending on your entries, filings may include Post Summary Corrections (PSC) for unliquidated entries, Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE) claims for the administrative refund track, or a summons and complaint at the US Court of International Trade (CIT) for the legal track.

03

Refund Delivery

We track your matter through CBP and the Court of International Trade until your refund is issued. You receive updates at every milestone. Our fee is deducted only from recovered funds.

You maintain full visibility into the status of every entry throughout the process. If your entries are routed through the CIT, your case benefits from the US government's 8 January 2026 stipulation to refund duties to all current and future similarly situated plaintiffs.
